Catch his art show through Dec. 21
Keith Dupell former florist and owner of popular Dupell Salon Aux Fleurs and Floral Art which was in Hillcrest on Park Blvd for 10 years has recently debuted his first collection of art, 15 abstract oil paintings.
Keith (pictured above, second from right) has always been creative and artistic in nature completing his first two paintings of this collection in 2002.
A good friend Julio saw these paintings when visiting one day and instantly fell in love with there unique perspective and wonderful use of color which after he asked Keith to paint one for his birthday.
This renewed inspiration led to Keith to buying another canvas and working on Cesar’s piece one with the only instructions, “strong use of purple.”
As Keith lives and frequents shops in Hillcrest he noticed a gallery space joined to the Kava Collective on University Avenue.
He envisioned his pieces on the wall and made it happen as Glenn Prickett the proprietor of Kava Collective graciously allowed him use of the space for a month.
He opened the gallery to friends and family on November 10 and now the collection is displayed daily for everyone to view.
Throughout the weeks you can catch Keith working live on his next and final piece of the collection which he plans to auction off at the closing party on December 15, 2018, at 7 pm.
Kava will extend the gallery until December 21.
