The host coined the phrase, "champagne wishes and caviar dreams."
Television host and journalist Robin Leach has died at the age of 76.
Perhaps one of the first reality stars on television, his weekly series "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" was a hit and ran for over a decade. He made several cameos on other programs and continued to make reality television a staple in his career including appearances on "Celebrity Wife Swap," and "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!"
But it was "Lifestyles" that rocketed him to the top in the 80's. He profiled the world's wealthiest people, showcasing what they ate, where they lived, shopped and traveled.
His catchphrase "champagne wishes and caviar dreams" is now a part of pop culture entertainment history.
According to the Holywood Reporter, Leach passed away on Thursday night. He had been declining in health ever since suffering a stroke this past November.
