Season 7 Drag Race contestant Trixie Mattel is being scrutinized for cracking a racist joke during a roast a few months ago. According to Queerty a video of the performance appeared online this week.

In it, Mattel talks about her choice of wardrobe for the evening, “I couldn’t decide what to wear so I wore this,” Trixie says. “It’s just like a cotton.”

Then the punchline: “Latrice picked it.” She's referring to Latrice Royal an African American drag celebrity who competed on Drag Race season four.

The quip landed a bit flat and was met with some groans from the audience, “Oh, is that too far, Denver?" Trixie asks them. "What did you forget to invite your black friends tonight?”

It didn't take long for social media to give their two cents, one Twitter user wrote, “making a joke about slavery is okay now???”

For now, the reality star isn't saying I'm sorry, "If you think drag queens apologize for jokes at a roast, you watch too much TV," she wrote on Twitter.
