Drag Race had a unique challenge this week.
Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is in full swing and the queens are settling in and getting to know each other. In fact, the latest episode saw the contestants facing their first group challenge in which two teams had to perform in a musical called PharmaRusical.
The teams were headed by The Vixen and Asia O’Hara, with the former taking the win. Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams and Eureka O’Hara of Team Asia were in the bottom and had to lip sync for their lives.
Backstage, it was Eureka who had an emotional breakdown and a cigarette, but Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams was the one who ultimately sashayed away.
She took some time out of her schedule to talk to us after the episode aired:
San Diego Gay and Lesbian News: How does it feel to be a part of the historic Drag Race season 10?
Kalorie: It is very humbling. It is something that I couldn't have imagined a year ago.
Who were you most surprised to see coming into the Werk Room this year?
I was so surprised to see Asia. Over the years I kept hearing a rumor that she would be on the show and she is someone that I admire so much so to see her on my season was shocking.
What difficulty did you have with the Maxi challenge?
One of the challenges was learning the choreography. I am not necessarily a choreographed dancer, it takes me a little longer to learn the moves and we were on a tight time frame so it was hard to nail down the moves.
If I were to go into your bathroom and look into your medicine cabinet right now, what three things would I find?
Flonase, toothpaste, and moisturizer.
What criticism from the judges do you not agree with? What do you agree with?
I respect the judges' critiques. If anything it was constructive criticism that will help me grow.
How did it feel to meet Andy Cohen?
It was so funny, he is so handsome!
Of all the queens this year, who makes you gag the most?
I probably have to say Vanjie. She is so funny. Her looks that she pulls are everything.
What are you working on now?
I am dabbling with different ventures and excited to see where this new platform takes me.
Are you coming to San Diego soon?
I hope that I get to go to San Diego soon! As of right now no plans though.
