How's it going San Diego? It's your Hillcrest socialite, Jinx Mirage with this week's Out & About.

I hope you guys had a sweet Comic-Con weekend and looking forward to having some fun this weekend.

So let's see what I have on my social calendar for the upcoming week:

A night of comedy with a Hollywood star!

Kicking it off this weekend Martinis Above Fourth brings you Jason Stuart & Vicki Barbolak: "I'm Only Gay on the Weekends" on Thursday, July 27.

Jason Stuart has been making people laugh out loud with “Gay Don Rickles” performances all over the country since coming out in 1993 and has accomplished what few other gay comics have ever achieved: brutal honesty with humor in a world that’s not always kind.

Not only is Stuart an all-out crowd pleaser, he also transcends the boundaries of race, gender and sexual orientation with his edgy comedic style. Stuart’s material about his experiences as a single.

Be ready for a night of outrageous comedy. Click the link above for tickets: doors open at 6 pm; showtime is 8 pm.

LGBT travelers meet up at Babycakes!

Also on Thursday, Babycakes will be hosting a San Diego meet up with the LGBT travelers from 7 pm to 10 pm. If you're a traveler or looking to be one, this will be a great meet up to share stories, tricks and what's best to do when seeing the world or your own backyard.

Get a little bit country!

Kickers is back on Thursday nights at Urban Mo's and they're ready to two-step the night away!

Join them every Thursday for "Kicker’s Country Western Night" from 7 pm to close.

Catch all the hot cowboys and cowgirls as they swirl and line dance their way across the floor. There will also be free country dance Lessons from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

Friday, July 28

Top of the Bay presented by SDPIX brings you the sounds of DJ Rick Betta

Being the original LGBT Happy Hour, Top of the Bay embodies all that is San Diego with its breath taking views and a vibe that screams summer in So Cal.

You'll want to get there at 6 pm for the social hour and the DJ starts spinning at 7 pm.

Calling all my Drag Racers!

DIVAS at Rich's Nightclub brings back Jaidynn Diore Fierce from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7!

Come enjoy a night of sexy guys and high flying male & female aerials! All on the fabulous DIVAS stage with the wall of LED realness. Along side the fabulous divas Landa Plenty, Lolita Von Tease and Kickxy Vixen, with special guest Erica Foxx

Now I've never seen Jaidynn Diore Fierce perform before, but I heard when she comes to town, she comes to slay. So make sure you get your reservation for a table early, because the show is going to be FIERCE HUNNY!

Saturday, July 29

Come to Urban MO’s for "Ain’t Your Grandma’s BINGO!" Your host this month is Landa Plenty and she will be spinning your balls and calling out yo' numbers!

Buy one card for $5, or three cards for $10. Proceeds go to benefit Red Dress Party San Diego and the San Diego HIV Funding Collaborative!

More Divas!

Hitting the stage at the Balboa Theatre, The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus in their new show DIVAS. From Barbra, Dolly and Aretha to Whitney, Taylor and Lady Gaga—no last names are required for this blockbuster show of the summer!

It’s for everyone who’s ever picked up a hairbrush and read the riot act to “Respect” or belted out “Born this Way” while road-tripping to Vegas or raised their hands to the sky and proclaimed “I Will Survive.”

Two Great San Diego brands celebrate 15 years!

Get your chi chi heels on and hit up Rich's Nightclub this Saturday, and help us celebrate 15 years of greatness for SDPIX and Rufskin as we commemorate an award-winning social magazine and quality menswear.

Now I've only been with the publication for a month and a half and living in San Diego for about four years. But in that short time, I've already seen the influence both these stellar brands have on the community

SDPIX is the gold standard for high-end, high-fun, high-fashion publications,” Bob Lehman, Executive Director of The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus, has said, “You can't help but pick up a copy every time you see it.”

Rufskin is a menswear brand that has always made a bold statement by the people who wear it. Sexy, fun and edgy the underclothing giant has kept men looking and feeling good about themselves for 15 years. They really do have something for everyone.

Dance and electronic superstar Kristine W will be performing at our 15-year anniversary party and says the magazine is like a personal greeting card to the city, "SDPIX represents a time of Independence for me personally and a long time love affair I have had with San Diego and my amazing friends there."

I have been a huge Kristine W fan since I was hitting up the Parliament House in Orlando, FL for their world famous Sunday T Dances when I was a newly baby gay circa 2008...

Oh god, I'm getting old. Well anyway, make sure you make it out because this will be an anniversary party you don't wanna miss.

Sunday, July 30

If you're not dead from our anniversary party, then make sure you check out "F-Monday it's Sunday Funday" at Uptown Tavern

Live Dj and drink specials from 1 pm to 6 pm, plus the food, ugh! absolutely #delish.

Trust me you'll be putting it all over your Instagram and Snapchat.

Reminisce with artist Joey Arias

Looking to do something different than your normal Hillcrest Sunday Funday? Then you should make your way to Martinis Above Fourth for Joey Arias in "Still Misbehavin.'"

Internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist, fashion icon and drag artist Joey Arias premieres a new intimate show with piano and voice at Martinis Above Fourth.

Accompanied by jazz pianist Peter Smith, Arias takes you on a musical journey highlighting his own musical inspirations, from The Beatles to of course, Billie Holiday to whom he has long been compared.

See the above link for tickets. Doors open at 6 pm; Showtime at 8 pm.

Tuesday, August 1
