McDonalds, one of the biggest fast food chains in the world has given their famous French fries a Pride makeover in honor of National Equality March in Washington DC this month and one conservative social media blogger is salty over the project.

These special edition french fries sleeves have an image of a Pride flag across their back and are only getting a limited release in three locations in Washington DC.

McDonalds’ PRIDE Network co-chair Cathy Martin said this is just a small way to honor the community who have so much more to do.

“The rainbow fry boxes are a fun way to show our support of the LGBTQ community using one of McDonald’s most iconic and recognizable items; however, these fry boxes are ‘small potatoes’ in the grand scheme of our commitment to this community.

“We are proud to honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community, including our employees, customers and beyond, each and every day.”

The release of the rainbow colored containers has stricken a nerve with web-evangelist Joshua Feuerstein who you may remember wanted his followers to use guns to battle same-sex marriage.

He posted:

“DISGUSTING! McDonald’s released their RAINBOW FRIES today in honor of GAY PRIDE! Im tired of corporations trying to influence our families like this. SHARE THIS and let people know to STOP EATING at McDonalds! Plus, their food is crap. Really.)”

Feuerstein was also perturbed at Macy's this week for posting a "Love Always Wins" message on thier social media page. The image shows two men holding hands on a rainbow background.

"Well ... Macy's decided to push the gay agenda! Looks like they lost my business too! It's time to boycott businesses that push the homosexual agenda," Feuerstein wrote to his  followers.
