The reality star and Trump supporter will come to the defense of this trans man.
One reality star and one Netflix star are coming to the defense of transgender plaintiff Gavin Grimm, who will stand before the Supreme Court on March 28 reports TMZ.
Laverne Cox first brought Grimm’s plight to the mainstream public at the Grammy Awards last month.
Ironically it is Caitlyn Jenner of “I am Cait,” who may be a surprising advocate for Grimm since she lauded Trump during the election cycle.
“Trump seems to be very much for women,” Jenner told Stat last June. “He seems very much behind the LGBT community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue. He backed the LGBT community.”
However the Trump administration’s recent decision to lift an Obama guidance to allow trans kids to use the restroom of their choice emboldened Jenner enough to send a message to the president asking for him to get in touch with her.
“From one Republican to another,” she says in a Twitter video, “This is a disaster and you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community…call me.”
There is no word yet if Jenner will attend the Supreme Court hearing with Grimm and Cox.
