Ole! A Night of Flamenco debuts at #1 Fifth Avenue tonight
Fans of the monthly Havana Nights at #1 fifth Avenue will no doubt appreciate the fact that tonight (Thursday) #1 Fifth Avenue will present a new Latin-themed musical event: Ole! A Night of Flamenco. And what is Flamenco, you ask?
“… It’s both a musical style and a dance typical of Andalucía, the southern region of Spain. Originally, it was the traditional dance and music of the Andalusian gitanos (gypsies). Even though Flamenco is still deeply connected to the gypsy culture, many payos (non-gypsies) have contributed to expand it both in Spain and overseas.”
The event will also feature the Flamenco Sun Dance Company, so it should both a visually and musically impressive night.

Lots of quality entertainment at Martinis Above Fourth
This week is a big one for live entertainment at Martinis Above Fourth, with three major ticketed event scheduled:
Thursday, January 26, 8 pm: Michael Griffiths in 'IN Vogue: Songs by Madonna'
“Acclaimed Australian cabaret performer Michael Griffiths IS Madonna. No accent, costume or wig. Just ‘Madge’ seated at the piano, leading you on a journey through her tough life and tender songs. Strike a pose, get into the groove and express yourself as Madonna opens her heart!”
Monday, January 30, 8 pm: Girls (and Boys!) Night Out - The Show: 'Stripped Down Tour'
“Do you like the Chippendales but don’t want to travel all the way to Las Vegas to see their shows? Then get ready for a fun night of hot guys and exciting fantasies as the nation-wide tour of the Girls (and Boys) Night Out Show makes its way to Martinis Above Fourth in a new show titled “Stripped Down Tour.”
This show has quickly become the #1 hottest ticket for entertainment in the country with a legendary touring troupe that is known for their fully choreographed performances and elaborate costumes. The exhilarating show revisits classic fantasies, steamy temptations and features some of the most physically perfect male dancers that artistically capture a wide range of natural desires. Delighting audiences with a series of sexy, yet tasteful, dance numbers and exciting routines geared towards both female and gay audiences alike, this is one show you DO NOT want to miss.”
Tuesday, January 31, 8 pm: Dina Martina in 'Of the Charts!'
“Mark your calendar for January 31st, as hilarious cult sensation Dina Martina returns to MA4 with an all-new show that many are saying is her best EVER!
This is the hysterically funny show that wowed the crowds on the east coast in the summer of 2016 and, like all of Martina’s surreal shows, it promises to be an amazing blend of unequalled song, unnecessary dance, unattractive costumes and unbelievable video. It is nearly impossible to adequately describe the jaw-dropping pathos and mind-blowing comedy that is a Dina Martina show; but what it is, is a smart and hilarious evening of entertainment that you’ll never forget!”
