The 60-year-old actress is best known for her role as Princess Leia in "Star Wars."
Actress Carrie Fisher has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a massive heart attack aboard an airplane on Friday.
TMZ is reporting that Fisher was on a flight from London to Los Angeles when she went into cardiac arrest.
A flight attendant asked passengers if anyone was a medical professional, to which one person responded that he was an EMT and was taken to first class to give CPR.
The news site is reporting that she went into cardiac arrest just 15-minutes before the plane was scheduled to land.
Once the plane landed the actress was taken to a nearby hospital.
