Twitter announced this week that it will be shutting down the popular video site "Vine" for good. However, adults-only site Pornhub would like to save the six-second video service.

San Diego Gay and Lesbian News received an email from adults-only site Pornhub, saying that they have officially offered to buy "Vine," but did not give a specific price.

In an offer letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, penned by Pornhub Vice President Corey Price, the company says they admire how the app has continued to grow within the last three years and, “It’s very impressive how you’ve have been able to capture the uniqueness of humanity with Vine and it will truly be missed…but we’re thinking it doesn’t have to be.”

Price continues to say in the offer letter that Pornhub has over 60 million unique visitors to the site each day and thinks "Vine" would be a great addition to their company.

“Now before you start rolling your eyes, hear me out Jack,” the letter continues. “We’re interested in purchasing Vine from you. We figure since Twitter has dropped it and is having significant layoffs that you and your stakeholders could benefit from a cash infusion from the sale of Vine. Not to mention we would be saving Vine gems like “Damn Daniel,” “Awkward Puppets” and many more.”

Price says that upon purchasing "Vine," Pornhub would return the site to its NSFW glory.

“After all,” the offer concludes, “spurts of porn in 6 seconds is more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”

It appears that Vine could no longer compete with the newly embraced “Facebook Live,” and popular filter-infused Snapchat.

Further, its parent company Twitter has been on the decline amid increasingly popular social media sites such as Google and the market-impermeable Facebook.

"Vine" founder Rus Yusuov sold the company to social media giant Twitter for $30 million in 2012, and according to reports didn’t find out that the Twitter was planning to make it go forever-dark until Thursday.
