The San Diego Public Library (SDPL) has launched a program to document the experiences of San Diegans during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Snapshot: A Photo Journal of Life During the Pandemic” will collect and archive photographs taken during this historic time. 

Join us for a night of original stories and illustrations from San Diego's LGBTQ and allied communities on Friday, March 5 at 7 pm.

The Stonewall Salon teams up with Write Out Loud to give a voice to older adults touching on the theme of Civil Liberties. Tune in for a unique look into a diverse set of stories shared online told in the tradition of Kamishibai (or visual) storytelling.

Through a virtual announcement on Saturday, Feb. 13, Diversionary Theatre announced some major expansion plans including the addition of a new education space, and a cabaret bar. As San Diego's only LGBTQ theater company, the organization has already reached 85% of its $2.5 million fundraising goal that will allow these changes to happen.

The 28th annual SXSW Film Festival is slated for March 16-20, 2021. The virtual lineup has eight wonderful LGBTQ-inclusive entries spanning from enlightening documentaries to heart-stopping thrillers to heartfelt dramas.

With the lifting of the State of California's "Stay at Home Order" that went into effect in early December 2020, a number of LGBT nightlife venues have re-opened with modificiations, providing space for the community to get out of the house and eat and drink.

Two of the largest LGBT bars, Rich's and Flicks, are on the same block and both have announced plans to re-open this weekend.

Popular Hillcrest restaurant Baja Betty's was recently ranked first place out 367 Mexican restaurants, and fifth place out of 2,755 overall restaurants in San Diego by Tripadvisor.
