San Diego Pride to host Art of Pride exhibit and reception

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Pride’s Art of Pride will host a special reception to show off the latest exhibit featuring images from the 2013 pride celebrations.

The reception will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 from 6-9 pm at the San Diego Pride office in North Park.

Art of Pride works to promote and support the work of LGBT and allied artists in the San Diego community by coordinating monthly exhibits featuring the work of rotating artists in the halls of San Diego’s Pride office space. The committee also coordinates the annual exhibition of featured and juried artists inside the San Diego Pride Festival each July.

This month’s exhibit features the work of the photography team that volunteered to capture images from this year’s Rally, Block Party, Parade, Festival and other Pride events. Featured photographers include Deborah Kelin Smith, Tony Maietta, Jim Conner, Kimberly Paul and Matt Fukushima.

Several photographs will be on display throughout the exhibit and selected works will be available for sale.
