Diversionary Theatre's "Marry Me A Little" now playing

SAN DIEGO -- Diversionary Theatre's run of Stephen Sondheim's "Marry Me A Little" - a timely exploration of love, loneliness, marriage and relationships - begins tonight and runs through Sept. 29.

Using a treasure trove of songs originally written for "Follies," "A Little Night Music," "Company" and other Sondheim favorites, the musical tells the story of two lonely young people who dream and ponder their lives in and out of love.

As the LGBT community embraces and celebrates marriage equality for all, this is the time for Diversionary to explore relationships from different perspectives. The production will present the show in repertory with the story told from the alternating perspectives of two men, two women, and a man and a woman. Each performance will feature one of three pairs of actors, including a male couple, a female couple, and a man/woman couple. The show schedule identifies which performances will be played by which pair.
