The annual HIV/AIDS fundraiser takes place on Thursday, April 25 at more than 100 participating San Diego locations
SAN DIEGO -- As the annual Dining Out For Life San Diego fundraiser approaches, many in the community are now making their breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktail plans for Thursday, April 25 - and SDGLN's Equality Directory has a special section devoted to the event.
The event raises money for The San Diego LGBT Community Center's HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs as local restaurants, bars and coffeehouses pledge a portion of the days sales to the cause. At minimum, all participating venues pledge at least 25% of the days sales to the cause, with some giving as much as 100%.
Many community members will plan their dining choices for the day based on Dining Out For Life participants, and often invite friends and loved ones along.
SDGLN's Equality Directory launched in 2010 to provide a space for businesses that support full equality for all people to promote their services.
This year, the Equality Directory has been expanded to include a section that lists restaurants that are participating in Dining Out For Life. Through this section, diners can read more about the various restaurants, link to their websites to see menus and location, and see how much that venue has pledged to the cause.
More than 100 businesses are participating in Dining Out For Life this year so event supporters will have no shortage of choices.
