Injury forces Lady Gaga to cancel tour, faces surgery

NEW YORK – A hip injury requiring surgery has forced Lady Gaga to cancel the remainder of her “Born This Way” tour.

Lady Gaga took to Twitter to apologize to her legion of Little Monsters and to describe her health woes as a “show injury” that causes chronic pain.

Doctors described the injury as a labral tear of the right hip.

“It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I'm sorry,” Lady Gaga tweeted.

The gay icon will be ordered to bed rest after surgery, then rehabilitation after the healing process continues.

Fans can look forward to Lady Gaga’s fourth studio album, “Artpop,” which is due out later this year.
