GLAAD's What To Watch on Wednesday

Tonight catch the series premiere of "Chicago Fire" and special back-to-back episodes "Modern Family," plus new episodes of "Survivor: Phillippines" and "The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons."

8 pm: Survivor: Philippines on CBS (1 hr) NEW

New alliances are formed and another castaway is voted out of the game following the tribal meetings. This season's cast includes out contestant Dana Lambert.

9 pm: Modern Family on ABC (30 mins) NEW

Mitch and Cam drop Lily off for her first day of kindergarten, but get called back in for a meeting with the confrontational mothers of a boy Lily fights with. Meanwhile, Claire and Phil embarrass Haley as they help her set up at college and Jay and Gloria attend a baby class.

9:30 pm: Modern Family on ABC (30 mins) NEW

Mitchell attempts to trick Cam into getting a job now that Lily is in school; Phil and Claire's five year plan has him set to get a vasectomy; and Jay and Gloria disagree about whether they should find out the baby's sex or not.

10 pm: Chicago Fire on NBC (1 hr) SERIES PREMIERE

Following a tragedy at Chicago Firehouse 51, Casey and Severide point the finger at each other. Casey also deals with separating from his wife.

10 pm: The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons on MTV (1 hr) NEW

Ryan goes all out on a psychological attack against his enemies. This season's cast includes out contestants Frank, Sam, JD and Preston.

This morning and afternoon, check your local listings for information about Ellen, The Nate Berkus Show, The Talk (CBS) and The Chew (ABC). Days of Our Lives on NBC (check local listings for time) features gay character Will as a series regular; keep an eye out for developments between Will and recurring gay characters Sonny and Neil.
