SAN DIEGO -- Rich's San Diego will host a special going-away party for the club's long-time owner and resident DJ, Nicholas Moede, Saturday night.
Moede, who is known by many of his fans and the club's customers as Nikno, will be moving to New York City next month to attend a school for music production.
Rich's will remain under Moede's ownership while he is attending school in New York City, and his management team, lead by general manager Ryan Bedrosian, will run the day-to-day operations of the nightclub. Customers will notice little to no changes as the business will run pretty much the same as it has.
Club staff hope that the community will join them to bid farewell to Moede at the party, which will include a hosted champagne bar from 10-11 pm and a free Nikno CD give-away.
The night will begin with an opening set by DJ Taj from 10 pm to midnight followed by DJ Nikno taking over the dance floor until closing.
Early arrival is suggested, doors open at 10 pm.
Check back to San Diego Gay & Lesbian News on Monday for a full profile on Moede with additional information about his plans for the future.
Rich's is located at 1051 University Ave. in Hillcrest.
