SAN DIEGO -- The PGK Dance Project has scheduled three performances in September and October.
The PGK Dance Project and the PGK Dance Project Too will perform Sept. 7-8 in “The Dancing Garden” for ART San Diego International Contemporary Art Fair. The performance will be on the Front Patio and in the Garden of the Balboa Park Activity Center.
Tickets are $20; $15 for seniors and students, and includes access to Exhibit Hall featuring work by hundreds of internationally acclaimed artists.
Viviana Alcazar dances “A Song for You,” choreographed and sung live by Peter G. Kalivas, at the “Dance For A Wish” on benefiting The Make A Wish Foundation of San Diego. The performance will be at 2:30 and 6:30 pm Sept. 20 at the David & Dorothea Garfield Theater at the JCC in La Jolla, California.
Tickets are $20 advance, $24 at the door.
Then at 7:30 pm Oct. 26-27, PGK Dance Project will perform in “San Diego Dances” at the historical Spreckels Theater downtown, featuring new work by the PGK Dance Project with live music, Khamla Somphanh, Opus Mixtus Dance and Viviana Alcazar.
Tickets are $20; $15 for seniors and students. As part of the Fall for the Arts Campaign, parent gets in free when child 8 to 16 pays $10.

About PGK Dance Project
The PGK Dance Project is a contemporary dance company originally founded in Munich, Germany in 1994 and relocated to San Diego in 2002 via New York City. This seven-member company performs the work of its award-winning director Peter G. Kalivas, and other innovative, contemporary choreographers locally, nationally and internationally.
The dance company produces “San Diego Dances” in a new and unexpected location featuring new artists twice a year and “Dance on the Edge” for ArtWalk each April for two days which includes free performances, workshops and the promotion of dance, theater and music happening throughout San Diego County. The PGK Dance Project Too is the apprentice company that via a partnership with Culture Shock Dance Center receives weekly training in contemporary forms, including composition and partnering in preparation for work in the field. Under the direction of Kalivas, the apprentice company performs locally at a variety of festivals, events and public libraries.
Most recently PGK Dance Project was featured in the video “That Guy” inspired by the classic Hollywood musical and created for The Greater San Diego Business Association produced by Matt Harding, directed by Kevin Lare and choreographed by Kalivas.
