SAN DIEGO -- Comedian Scott Silverman will headline tonight's Laugh Out Proud comedy show taking place at Martinis Above Fourth, starting at 8 pm.
The monthly event is San Diego’s only comedy show geared toward the LGBT community, and tonight will marks its first anniversary.
Silverman will be joined on stage by local LGBT comedians Chet Sewell, Sarah Burford and Sean Wherley, as well as local "allied" comic Kate Lee.
Silverman has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Out There 2,” A&E’s “An Evening at The Improv” and Logo’s “Wisecrack” comedy series.
He has opened several times for Margaret Cho on her tour, performed at Montreal's Just for Laugh’s Festival, and was a finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition.
Wherley and Burford produce the show each month to showcase the region's top LGBT and allied comedians in a safe environment for the LGBT community.
Other seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Martinis Above Fourth is located at 3940 Fourth Ave., second floor, in Hillcrest. For more information, click HERE.
