SAN DIEGO – US Airways will begin daily nonstop service from Lindbergh Field (San Diego International Airport) to Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., effective June 8.
Currently, no carrier offers nonstop service between Lindbergh and Reagan.
The new service is part of six new daily nonstop flights to Reagan and include Augusta, Ga.; Minneapolis; Fayetteville, Ark.; Montreal, Quebec and Toronto.
"US Airways will have a total of 22 new routes from Washington, D.C.'s Reagan National beginning this spring and summer. Our growing presence at Reagan National Airport highlights our commitment to connect small, medium and large communities to the nation's capital," said Andrew Nocella, US Airways' senior vice president, marketing and planning. "We are excited to provide customers - especially those in communities that currently do not have service - with direct access to Washington's downtown airport."
