SAN DIEGO -- Laugh Out Proud, San Diego's comedy show geared toward the LGBT community, returns tonight at Martinis Above Fourth and will feature headliner Vicki Barbolak.
Barbolak is a well-known comedienne whose credits include winning Nick@Nite’s "Funniest Mom in America" contest, being honored by NBC as a member of Jay Leno's "Laugh Squad," and appearing on "E! Comedy Store True Stories" and "Who's Minding the Store?"
Her performance of "Stand up at a Funeral" was featured in the book, "I Killed: True Stories of the Road from America's Top Comics."
Barbolak will be joined at tonight's show by local LGBT comedians Sarah Burford and Sean Wherley, gay Los Angeles comic Matt Moore, and San Diego allied comedian Kyle Ray.
The Laugh Out Proud Comedy Show is produced by Wherley and Burford in an effort to showcase the region’s top LGBT and allied comedians in a safe environment for the LGBT community.
Laugh Out Proud will begin at 8 pm at Martinis Above Fourth, 3940 Fourth Ave., Suite 200, in Hillcrest.
The free show is open to those ages 21 and older.
Guests are welcome to arrive early if they would like to order from Martinis Above Fourth's full dinner menu. Reservations are required for dinner and may be made by calling (619) 400-4500 or by click HERE.
Bar seating is available for guests who do not make dinner reservations and is open a first come, first served basis.
