Larry Lozier Jr. is prepared to don the fur of any one of nine cats or kittens on a whisker’s notice. He sweeps through San Diego Jan. 10-15 in the national tour of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, “Cats.” The hit musical is an extra addition to Broadway San Diego’s 2011-12 season.

Last year in Columbus, Ohio, Lozier got to try Skimbleshanks, the Railway Cat. “That was the first time in my professional career that I took the stage as a featured character who sings his own number,” Lozier said. “It was scary, but it was an incredible experience, especially afterwards, when the dance captain and the music director told me I did an absolutely wonderful job.”
