A heavy pour of San Diego nightlife served straight, no chaser
Drag queens are synonymous with gay nightlife. I mean, what’s not to love about a guy who can rock six-inch heels and make MAC’s “very violet” eye shadow look good!
But what happens when the queens break out of the Hillcrest bubble and take over San Diego nightlife? My guess … complete mayhem!
This month, Hillcrest’s very own Disco Dollie is taking drag to another level as she partners up with SDPIX to host “Disco Dollie’s Wild Ride.”
Dollie is challenging San Diegans to experience how far the rabbit hole goes as she throws 40 Hillcrest hotties into a party bus with a stripper pole along with her partners Ruby Dee and Glitz Glam and drives them to four of the city's best nightlife locations.
On Saturday, April 17, 40 lucky individuals will be chauffeured on a VIP adventure that promised to take this town by storm.
Get ready for a night that everyone will be talking about as the Mad Hatter and friends board a decked out party bus and ride throughout the city to take over the hottest and most popular nightclubs.
First on the stop is U-31. This is North Park's most happening cocktail bar and lounge and, as everyone knows, is also home to the city's coolest and most eclectic crowds.
As the party continues, the bus will travel to Downtown's newest and most elite nightclub - FLUXX. Be one of the few lucky San Diegans to skip the line that night and experience the multimillion-dollar dance club first-hand and to take over the dance floor.
No "wild ride" would be complete without strippers. Disco Dollie has decided it wouldn't hurt to stop at the city's sexiest strip joint, The Hustler Club. The girls and guys won't know what hit them when Dollie and friends walk 40 people deep into arguably one of San Diego's best "Gentlemen's Clubs."
Last but not least, the trek will culminate when the driver takes everyone back to Hillcrest to rock out at Rich’s, where guests can take full advantage of LL Bear Night and some of the strongest drinks in town.
The cost for the event is $75 per person and includes a complimentary drink at each location and party bus transportation.
This event is limited to the first 40 people to sign up. You can lock down a spot for this event by registering online at SDPIX.com.
In a conversation with Disco Dollie, she has promised to be on her "worst behavior” and warns partygoers that “this is an event like no other: a party bus full of wonder, mystery, booze and boys!”
In other nightlife news, I will be on the red carpet this Saturday with LMFAO and The Black Eyed Peas as they host their official The E.N.D. World Tour after-party at Stingaree in The Gaslamp. I’ll have the inside scoop on the band’s tour and tons of pictures in next week’s article.
Until then, enjoy the rest of the week and get ready for one heck of a holiday weekend! And as always: Bottoms Up!
