RISE San Diego will host a special webinar on Thursday, June 11 from 6-7:30 pm entitled "Say Our Names: Black Women of the Movement." The event is intended to uplift the voices of the many Black women past and present who have led the way toward social change.

On National Nurses Day, the International Imperial Court System announced the creation of a new honor to recognize the work of nurses, hospital workers, and other further responders. The award will be called the International Florence Nightingale Beacon of Light Citation.

Isolation can be a relentless enemy for our LGBTQ seniors, especially during the Governor's Stay-At-Home order, but those who find The Center discover powerful allies. Senior Services – 50 and Better Together – strives to create a safe space where those 50 years and “better” have access to important resources and referrals regarding health care, social services, and community activities.

Senators urge overhaul of gay donor restrictions amid blood shortage

A group of senators are calling on the federal government to lift policies restricting gay and bisexual men from giving blood amid a nationwide donation shortage. Currently, men who have sex with men must remain celibate for a year before they are permitted to donate.
