The annual Post-Pride Neighborhood Clean-Up will be hosted on Monday, July 19.
San Diego Pride is the biggest time of the year in Hillcrest, with tens of thousands of people descending on the neighborhood to celebrate. And while we love nothing more than celebrating with our community, lots of people in the area can mean lots of trash and litter left behind.
Please join neighbors, friends, and others who love Hillcrest on the Monday following San Diego Pride weekend, Monday, July 19, at 11 am to spend time picking up litter on Hillcrest's most heavily trafficked sidewalks.
Trash bags will be provided but volunteers are welcome to bring any other supplies they'd like (gloves, trash grabbers, brooms, etc).
Meet at the Hillcrest Pride flag pole at 11 am, and volunteers will be sent off in groups or individually (depending on your personal preference) to clean-up til 12:30 pm. From 12:30-2 pm, we'll have a celebratory happy hour (called "Talking Trash") to thank our volunteers.
