Mx. San Diego Gay Pride Amber St. James to speak about lack of support for black queer community

Amber St. James, who was crowned San Diego's first-ever Mx. Gay Pride, will be a special guest on radio station KNSJ 89.1 this Sunday, May 3 from 1-2 pm.

The show's topic will be "lack of support of black queer folks in our community, the unsung hereos." St. James will speak to the topic, highlighting challenges that black members of the LGBTQ communtiy face in the form of support, visibility, and more.

Known as the death dropping and cartwheeling split queen, St. James has become well known for her revolutionary activist work in and out of drag, along with her entertaining high energy performances. Her Mx. Gay Pride title is the first gender neutral title within the Imperial Court de San Diego. St. James is also the first ever 2019 California Regional Bearded Queen Runner Up.
