Special town hall meeting to be held in Hillcrest tonight

Join the San Diego and Hillcrest community, as they welcome Hillcrest’s Patty Thongchua, owner of The Asian Bistro.

Last Tuesday The Asian Bistro was the site of a gunman's attack, after Stefano Markell Parker, 29, sprayed bullets into the active eatery. Luckily nobody was injured.

That attack was on the heels of several other crimes including the defacement of plaques beneath the Hillcrest Pride flag. Although those two incidents have not been confirmed as having any relation to each other the community is still concerned with the uptick in criminal activity.

In response to these concerns, an emergency town hall meeting will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral this Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm.

Presenters will include San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, Councilmember Christopher Ward, San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit, and a group of law enforcement officials and local business owners for a Q&A panel
