The San Diego Humane Society wants you to grab your walking shoes to participate in their annual Walk for Animals fundraiser.

There are two dates; one for San Diego at Liberty Station which is in May 5, 2018, and another for North County on February 24, 2018.

This event also features a pancake breakfast, a blessing of the animals and a vendor village.

"By fundraising as part of the Walk for Animals, you make it possible for San Diego Humane Society to provide a second chance for more than 30,000 companion and wild animals that will come into our care this year.'

"Every dollar raised through the Walk for Animals is immediately put to good use by helping San Diego Humane Society investigate animal cruelty, care for neonatal kittens, provide specialized veterinary care, rehabilitate native wildlife, keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, respond to natural disasters, and so much more."

The North County Walk for Animals is on Feb. 24 2018 at Kit Carson Park, Escondido

The San Diego Walk for Animals is on May 5, 2018, at NTC Park, Liberty Station.
