Those harmonious and altruistic voices of The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus (SDGMC) will remain loud and strong within the community as they receive $6,505 from San Diego Pride for supporting the mission through festival ticket sales.

Executive Director of the SDGMC, Bob Lehman, has said any money that comes into the organization is used to not only keep the community entertained but educate them through outreach programs and charitable events.

Last year SDGMC was presented with a $10,000 matching grant from the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation. And he makes it clear that any funds given to the chorus are used to help causes that reach further than the stage.

“We are so incredibly grateful to the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation for helping support our musical mission of outreach,” he said at the time. “It is with this financial endowment that we are able to continue changing lives one voice at a time both within the LGBT community and throughout San Diego.”

With many performances throughout the year, the SDGMC is helping to keep their mission alive and prove with every sold-out performance, people do care. That philosophy and San Diego Pride's mission for, "Fostering pride in and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, locally, nationally, and globally," the partnership is a powerful one.

This year, the highly successful "Jingle" has already started auditions and pre-sale tickets.

This show is a seasonal favorite and performances often sell out rapidly.
