Novice Sister Allison Wonderland of San Diego Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is inviting everyone to her free Disco Roll-O-Rama party on Sunday May, 15 2016 at Skateworld.

NvSr. Wonderland says that the skate party is a community event that includes, but is not limited to: Bears, Leather, Court, Sisters, LGBTQ sports teams, trans and youth.

There will be no charge for skates and there is also a group-themed costume contest, raffle and limbo competition.

The Sister has set up a go-fund-me-page which is nearly at its goal. The funds raised will go directly to the party to pay for the venue.

“In order to allow free entry,” Sister Wonderland says on the website, “I must raise the funds to cover the event space rental. Any donation that you are willing to provide would be greatly appreciated.”

The goal of $1,500 is already at $1,045 as of this writing.

Sister Wonderland says that the support of the community will help turn this event into a success.

“On behalf of myself and the Sisters of Perpetual indulgence, I would like to thank you for your donations!!” she writes.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were founded in San Francisco in 1979.

Since then they have tirelessly worked within communities around the world, creating outreach and spiritual enlightenment, while promoting human rights.

The sisters use irreverent humor and stinging wit to expose bigotry, inequalities and guilt that keep so many in the LGBT community from realizing the importance of their unique journeys.

The San Diego chapter, San Diego Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,The Asylum of the Tortured Heart, was founded in 2006.
