Mama’s kitchen is celebrating its 25th anniversary of Mama’s Day on Friday, May 6 at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla.

This annual fundraiser has been called San Diego’s premiere tasting event and features 55 chefs from San Diego’s most recognized restaurants, hotels and catering companies who prepare their most delectable offerings to over 600 attendees.

All proceeds from the event go directly to Mama’s Kitchen whose mission is to deliver hot and nutritious meals to San Diego men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS. Last year’s Mama’s Day raised $176, 000 for their cause, delivering 57,680 meals to homes around the area.

This year auction items include a one-on one dinner with host Sam “The Cooking Guy” Zien, and a Skybox package for 20 guests at PETCO Park.

As always there will be plenty of silent auction items on which to bid, or chances to win great prizes in an opportunity drawing.

Presented by Nordstrom and hosted by Sycuan, Mama’s Day pre-sale tickets are available for just $150 per person and $175 at the door. Premium VIP (Very Important Patron) tickets are available for $250 each, which includes early access at 5:30 pm to an exclusive VIP dining area and pre-party featuring a private culinary presentation by Sam “The Cooking Guy” before the doors open to general admission attendees at 6:30 pm.

VIPs also enjoy a full hosted bar for two hours.
