OCEANSIDE, California -- The Gender Advocacy Project of the North County LGBTQ Resource Center will host a Trans* Day of Empowerment celebration on Saturday, April 25 at 3 pm.
The event will include trans* history displays, empowering art, performances, a clothing swap, celebration of victories, community, and name and gender change clinic. The highlight of the afternoon will be the annual awards ceremony.
The Gender Advocacy Project serves the North County trans* and intersex community as a committee that oversees various programs including support and social groups, putting on events such as Trans* Day of Empowerment and Remembrance, collaborating with local health providers to provide trans*-inclusive health care. The project also educates individuals both within and outside the community regarding trans* current events.
Everyone is welcome to the event, which will take place at the Oceanside Public Library, located at 330 N. Coast Highway.
