LINCOLN, Neb. -- A 22-year-old lesbian from Lincoln, Neb., has accused her brother of an anti-gay hate crime, telling authorities that he and a friend attacked her and her fiancee with a crowbar and later tried to ram their car into oncoming traffic.
"At first I didn't know who it was," she told a local station. "Then I finally realized it was my brother ... he had a crowbar in his hand, he tried to hit me with it." Ahmed Tuma, 20, and his friend Nathan Marks, also 20, were arrested by police on Friday.
Tuma was charged with a hate crime and other counts, including criminal mischief and making terroristic threats. Marks faces charges that include aiding and abetting terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
