Peaceful protest march planned for Saturday to conclude at Hillcrest Pride Flag
A peaceful, prideful protest and march for equality is being held this Saturday, June 6 starting at 10 am. Participants will gather at at the County of San Diego Administration Building at 10 am for a program and then march into Hillcrest, ending at the Hillcrest Pride Flag.

Think Red Project will kick-off this year’s Red Dress Party San Diego (RDPSD) season with the annual RDPSD Launch Party on Saturday, May 30, at 1 pm - this year taking place on ​Facebook​ and ​YouTube​ Live. The launch party will be held online this year due to stay-at-home orders currently in place, but all sorts of fun performances and surprises are in store.

The cancellation of Mama's Kitchen's annual Mama’s Day fundraiser due to the COVID-19 crisis is one of the hardest decisions the organization has ever made, especially during their 30th Anniversary year. Since 1991, Mama’s Day has been supported by dozens of San Diego’s best restaurants and chefs, attended by hundreds of local supporters, and touted as “the” foodie event of the year.

On National Nurses Day, the International Imperial Court System announced the creation of a new honor to recognize the work of nurses, hospital workers, and other further responders. The award will be called the International Florence Nightingale Beacon of Light Citation.

Isolation can be a relentless enemy for our LGBTQ seniors, especially during the Governor's Stay-At-Home order, but those who find The Center discover powerful allies. Senior Services – 50 and Better Together – strives to create a safe space where those 50 years and “better” have access to important resources and referrals regarding health care, social services, and community activities.
