SAN DIEGO -- Mama’s Kitchen is embarking on a two-day mission to raise $48,000 in 48 hours on Oct. 1-2 with the GiveItToMama campaign.
The organization wants to show that though it doesn't seem like much time, it’s possible to make a big difference in two days. For example in just 48 hours Mama’s Kitchen volunteers will deliver over 2,000 meals and Mama’s Pantry will distribute over 500 pounds of food.
Those who wish to donate can visit GiveItToMama.org on Oct. 1 and 2 to make a contribution, which will toward the organization's 2013 building campaign.
Just 1,000 donations of $48 could easily help us reach Mama's Kitchen reach its goal, though gifts of any size are appreciated and welcome. Mama's Kitchen's Facebook and Twitter pages will post additional information detailing how people can get involved over the next couple of days.
Established in 1990, Mama’s Kitchen delivers nutritious, comforting meals to families affected by HIV/AIDS or cancer in San Diego County.
