SAN DIEGO -- Stepping Stone of San Diego will celebrate with summer with "Stepping Into Summer at the Stone" on Saturday, June 29 from 4-10 pm.
The event will benefit Stepping Stone's Resident Fund, which helps pay for things like toiletries, bus passes, and other personal needs for current and future residents of the facility.
Founded in 1976, Stepping Stone is a non-profit alcohol and drug recovery agency that offers a variety of treatment and recovery programs incorporating evidence-based best practices. The organization was one of only a few recovery facilities that focuses on the LGBT and HIV-positive community, and continues to be recognized for its start of the art practices.
The fundraiser will include food, raffles, a silent auction, music by DJ Montez, dancing, and other surprises. City Councilmember Marti Emerald will stop by the event at 5 pm to greet guests and support the fundraiser.
Tickets to the event are $10.
The event will be held at Stepping Stone, located at 3767 Central Ave. in City Heights.
