SAN DIEGO -- With Dining Out for Life San Diego rapidly approaching, volunteer coordinator Jerry Tomaszewicz is issuing a special plea for volunteers. Can you help?
"I need you. This year, we have more participating restaurants than ever before and we’ll need even more volunteers to ensure that this amazing event is as successful as possible," Jerry said. "If you have any ability to volunteer with us on Thursday, April 25, please contact me. We could really use your help!”
Volunteers are needed before April 25, but right now the event is especially in need of volunteers to serve as Dining Out for Life® Ambassadors on the day of the event.
“Our volunteer Ambassadors are the heart and soul of this event,” he said. “They help people to understand that their participation and generosity really makes a difference in our efforts to fight HIV in our community. By welcoming diners, encouraging their friends to join them at their venue and thanking all people for their contributions, our Ambassadors create a real sense of community as we come together to support this fantastic fundraising effort.”
If you can volunteer, even for a few hours, please contact Jerry directly at 619-692-2077 ext. 202 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also register online today. He would love to hear from you as soon as possible! There is a volunteer orientation set for this Saturday, April 13, at 10 am at The Center, located at 3909 Centre St. in Hillcrest.
