SAN DIEGO -- Community members are encouraged to take advantage of an opportunity to support Stepping Stone of San Diego and have their donation matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to a $10,000 challenge grant given to the organization by local business owner Mike Seymour, the newest addition to the organization's board of directors.
Seymour, who is founder and president of MSE Landscape Professionals, wanted to celebrate his appointment to the board by providing the grant, which will match all donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000, during the month of July.
Stepping Stone is a nonprofit organization that has provided life-saving addiction treatment and recovery services tailored toward the LGBT and HIV positive community since 1975. The organization operates a state-of-the art 31 bed treatment facility in City Heights, as well as two sober living homes.
Seymour's business was profiled on SDGLN last year, noting that he has become more aware of LGBT causes because of his gay son, and has been a regular supporter of numerous community chartities.
Those who wish to donate can visit Stepping Stone's website, or mail to 3767 Central Ave., San Diego, CA, 92105.
