SAN DIEGO -- Globally recognized straight ally Bishop Christopher Senyonjo of Uganda will stop in San Diego on Saturday for a fundraising brunch at a private home in the San Diego neighborhood of Talmadge.
Bishop Christopher is part of the global movement to decriminalize homosexuality in the 76 countries around the world where it is illegal to be gay. He will also part of the "Spirit of 76" effort to bring representatives of those 76 countries to Washington, D.C., in July for the World AIDS Conference.
The bishop is en route to Northern California, where he will be one of the grand marsals at the San Francisco Pride Parade on June 23. He also will be making stops in Orange County and Los Angeles.
The brunch, hosted by David Reicks and the Rev. Canon Albert Ogle, will run from 10:30 am to 1 pm Saturday, June 16. For more information, call 949-338-8830.
