SAN DIEGO -- More than 100 local restaurants, bars, coffeehouses and nightclubs will donate a minimum of 25% of the day's sales on Thursday, April 26, to The San Diego LGBT Community Center's HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs as part of the annual Dining Out For Life event.
To help make this happen, The Center is looking for a team of volunteers to serve as restaurant hosts and ambassadors. Those who sign up to serve as hosts will be assigned to a participating venue on the day of the event to welcome guests to the restaurant, and answer questions about Dining Out For Life San Diego, The Center and the opportunity drawing.
Ambassadors will promote a particular participating venue to their friends, loved ones and networks to encourage as many people as possible to support the event.
Volunteers are also being sought in advance of the event to serve on the street, data, phone, social network, poster, materials and runner teams.
