VIDEO: Tickets available for Center Stage event benefiting The Center

SAN DIEGO -- To raise money and support for the programs of The Center, the Young Professionals Council (YPC) is hosting an evening of "theatrical delight" called Center Stage on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Birch North Park Theatre.

Advance tickets are now available for the event, which will include live entertainment, food, drinks and a chance to connect with The Center, which is the third-largest organization of its type in the nation.

Created in early 2010, the YPC is a diverse group of young LGBT professionals and allies, age 21 to 40, dedicated to the preservation and future growth of The Center. The council cultivates young leaders who are dedicated to supporting The Center, while providing mentoring, networking, and other opportunities to help its members grow as leaders.

Local radio personality Jeff Gelder will serve as the master of ceremonies for the evening event, which will feature a wide variety of live performance genres.

Two popular local bands, The Lacy Younger Band, and Raven's Grace, have been lined up to perform at the event. Other entertainers include Encore Vocal Ensemble chorus, Unity Dance, Grace Towers, Sara Burford, Jiavani Linayao, and the Drama Club Dropouts.

Tickets to the event, which starts at 8 pm, are $25 in advance and $35 at the door. A limited number of tickets are available for Center Stage so organizers are encouraging those interested in attending to purchase their tickets now.

The Birch North Park Theatre is located at 2891 University Ave. For more information, click HERE.
