SAN DIEGO -- Tickets for San Diego LGBT Pride’s annual Out at the Park with the San Diego Padres are now available at the Pride office and various outlets throughout Hillcrest.
This year’s event, which will take place on Saturday, May 7, at 5:35 pm at Petco Park, will also feature a pre-game tailgate party with hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, cocktails and soft drinks. The tailgate party will be held from 3:30 to 5 pm at Imperial Avenue and 14th Street.
Tickets to the game are $15; and tailgate admission is $5, which includes food and beverages.
A special section in the upper infield of the stadium has been reserved by San Diego Pride as a way of showing collective community support for the home team.
“The outing at Petco Park has become one of San Diego Pride’s most popular events leading up to our annual summer celebration in July,” said Frank Scarpaci, interim executive director for San Diego Pride. “We’ve consolidated the seating this year as a way of bringing LGBT attendees and their supporters together in a show of team spirit and solidarity.”
Tickets for the game are available for purchase at the San Diego Pride office, 3620 30th St. in North Park, as well as at Urban Mo’s, Hairspray, Obelisk Book Store, House Boi and Mankind.
This year’s Pride celebration, titled “Pride Around the World” will be held July 15-17. It features a mile-long parade through the heart of Hillcrest, plus an outdoor rally and two-day festival at Marston Point in Balboa Park.
